We ran a large mix of benchmarks with the
GV-GF3000 to show it's performance in today's
games and applications, as well as tomorrow's.
In some tests we compare the GeForce 3's
performance to a GeForce 2 Ultra on the exact same
test-bed, using the same driver revision.
Before we get into the
gaming scores, we ran
MadOnion's Video 2000 to gauge the GeForce 3's
DVD and video playback prowess...
VIDEO 2000

The GV-GF3000's Video
2000 score is on par with all the other members of
the GeForce family. DVD playback using both
PowerDVD and WinDVD was excellent.
Next up, we ran 3D
Mark 2001, also from MadOnion to test DirectX
performance. 3D Mark 2001 is a DirectX 8
benchmark, testing the performance and
functionality of the pixel and vertex shaders...

MARK 2001

Being as the GeForce 3
is the first true DirectX 8 accelerator, we can't
really praise these numbers until we see what the
competition has to offer. Hopefully ATi and
STM will step up soon. What we can say is
that currently no card on the market can touch
these numbers at any resolution. More
