Benchmarks With The Leadtek Enhanced Winfast GeForce 2 GTS
Let's get this party started!

We ran our usual battery of tests on this card.  Considering the promise this card has shown, we increased our resolutions to those tested on an ultra class card, running both standard and over-clocked settings.  To test video quality and performance, Mad Onion’s Video 2000 was used.  To test over all performance of Direct 3D, Mad Onion’s 3D Mark 2000 v1.1 was used.  For OpenGL performance we ran MDK 2 and the tried and true Quake 3.

First up…Video 2000…

VIDEO 2000

These are excellent results that demonstrate this card is fine for quality DVD playback.  Now let’s see how 3D Mark liked this card….

3D Mark 2000 v1.1

Very nice, can’t wait to see what happens when we push it to the limit…

Not bad at all!  These are really close to Ultra numbers!  Now we’ll take a look and see how this card performs with MDK 2.  To give a comparison, we’ve included benchmark results from a recent review of a similar GeForce GTS, the The Elsa Gladiac 64MB DDR GeForce 2 GTS.

MDK 2

Although it doesn’t match the numbers posted by the Gladiac, they are good results nonetheless.  Now let’s push the two cards to their limits.  The Elsa Gladiac was able to go to a core 235MHz with memory timings of 405.  The WinFast was able to top 250MHz core and 390MHz for memory timings.  Let’s see how they faired…

Again, the WinFast can’t quite match the performance of the Gladiac due to the memory clock on the Gladiac being slightly higher, but the results are very respectable.  We usually say that a minimum of 60 FPS is acceptable for game play, but as you can see, even at 1600x1200x32, it’s a close one for the WinFast.  Now let’s give this card a run at Quake 3 Arena…
